It’s not surprising, then, that the Tony-winning stage performer and Frozen icon approaches the repertoire on her first Christmas album with moxie and melisma. Her versions of holiday chestnuts (“Silent Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”) and other seasonally appropriate selections (“River,” “When You Wish Upon a Star”) are moving and full of grace.
