On her first holiday album, Sara Evans keeps things merry and bright while not forgetting the reason behind the season. Her stirring pipes are in fine form as she leads off with the countrified title track, followed by an assortment of pop classics (“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”), yuletide rockers (“Run Rudolph Run”), and traditional carols (“Silent Night,” “O Come All Ye Faithful”). Of special interest is Evans’ spirited rendition of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” sung with daughters Olivia and Audrey, as well as her boisterous take of “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
